Open days of creative studios organized by A-FAD where citizens discover creation, arts, crafts and design by the artists, craftsmen and craftswomen.

The Association of Artists and Artisans of the FAD (A-FAD) is organising the 30th edition of the Tallers Oberts Bcn, a great opportunity to meet the art, crafts, design and creativity professionals in Barcelona and l’Hospitalet de Llobregat.

The activity has the collaboration of the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (Barcelona City Council), the Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de la Generalitat de Catalunya (CCAM) and the City Council of l’Hospitalet de Llobregat.

Open days and activities’ programme.

Since 1993 Tallers Oberts Bcn has offered to people working in arts, crafts and design who have a studio in Barcelona or l’Hospitalet the chance to show their work to the public in the space where the creative process takes place: the workshop.

Each year, different kinds of creative spaces take part, making it clear that the sector is highly representative in our territory. Individual studios, shared work spaces, arts and crafts schools, private companies, fablabs, associations, museums, art galleries, etc. This is a unique opportunity for all those who want to discover the creative talent that surrounds us.

In addition, Tallers Oberts Bcn is complemented by an extensive programme of activities in the studios and creative spaces participating. Visitors have the opportunity to try out and experience the creative processes first hand through a wide variety of proposals: workshops, conferences and demonstrations, among others. These activities respond to the desire to bring art, crafts and design closer to the professional public, to people who want to get started and also to families.

Studios and creative spaces guide.

Every year A-FAD produces a publication compiling the spaces and studios participating in the project. Coinciding with the 30th edition of Tallers Oberts Bcn, the publication is extended with 30,000 units distributed together with TimeOut Barcelona.

The publication lists all the participating studios and spaces. The highlighted proposals have an information sheet with text and image, as well as the activities they propose. This publication aims to be a reference document where all the information related to art, crafts, design and local talent can always be consulted.

The Tallers Oberts Bcn website.

For those who prefer the digital environment, the project’s website is updated annually with the spaces and studios that participate in the most recent call. The website becomes a reference to consult at any time the studios that make up the creative network of Barcelona and l’Hospitalet that support the project year after year.

Apart from the participating studios, the website is the main reference for consulting the entire programme of activities for the 30th edition of Tallers Oberts Bcn, a complete programme of creative activities scheduled for the weekend of 10, 11 and 12 November 2023.
