Solar photovoltaic panels that aim to replace conventional construction materials for roofs, walls and rigid awnings.

Solar photovoltaic panels that aim to replace conventional construction materials for roofs, walls and rigid awnings. BIPV stands for Building Integrated PV (photovoltaic panels integrated into the construction). Through the use of these photovoltaic modules, buildings are equipped for producing energy. These panels are laminated composites that encapsulate photovoltaic cells in a reinforced and hardened glass panel. The external layer of the laminate is made from low-iron glass to improve light transmission to the photovoltaic panels, while the polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer securely bonds all the elements together. PowerGlaz® BIPV panels can be manufactured to any size to meet the needs of the architect or designer.
