Jornadas de puertas abiertas de espacios creativos organizados por A-FAD donde la ciudadanía descubre el mundo de la creación, el arte, la artesanía y el diseño de la mano de los propios artistas, artesanos y artesanas.
The Association of Artists and Artisans of the FAD (A-FAD) is organising the 32nd edition of the Tallers Oberts project, the great celebration of arts and craftsmanship of the cities of Barcelona, l’Hospitalet de Llobregat and Anoia, which this year is joined by Vic, the 7th most important artisan point of interest in Catalonia. The open days offer the public the opportunity to get to know the talent that surrounds us in the creative spaces and workshops, where the history and future of local creativity is built.
The project, now in its 32nd year, is organised by the Association of Artists and Artisans of the FAD (A-FAD), with the support of Barcelona City Council, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat City Council, the Anoia County Council, Vic City Council and the Consortium of Trade, Crafts and Fashion of the Generalitat de Catalunya, with the collaboration of elPeriódico, Graf and Time Out Barcelona as media partners.
A bid to decentralise Catalonia’s cultural offerings
This year, visitors to Tallers Oberts will have the opportunity to go beyond the districts and see first-hand the artisan talent of Anoia and Vic. Tallers Oberts begins a new stage to promote artistic and artisan talent in the rural territories of Catalonia, and we open our call to the workshops and creative spaces of the Anoia region by the hand of Artisania, as part of the Anoia in Transition project, which works to position rural Anoia in the field of contemporary crafts.
This year, Tallers Oberts is extending its scope to include the workshops of the artisans of Carrer de la Riera in Vic, the 7th most important point of interest for crafts in Catalonia and one of the most powerful centres of art and crafts in the region.
A bid to decentralise the cultural agenda in Catalonia and create new links between the city of Barcelona and other territories.
Start collecting local art: the Unique Piece initiative returns
Collecting has historically been perceived as a personal phenomenon, linked to the accumulation of heritage or symbolic capital. The A-FAD wants to recover its collective aspect and its potential as a tool for supporting and democratising contemporary art and crafts. The A-FAD continues to make visible and promote the work of art and craft professionals with the second edition of Pieza Única.
This year, visitors to Tallers Oberts 2025 will have the opportunity to buy a new line of unique, limited edition pieces as part of Open Workshops 2025. In 40 of the 105 workshops participating in this year’s Open Workshops, you will be able to find a limited series of pieces designed especially for this event at a reduced price: ceramics, engraving, screen printing, textile pieces, wood… You can also find them at this year’s Design Market, which will take place in December, at the Design Hub Barcelona.
Tallers Oberts to be held again in spring
A-FAD advances the dates of Tallers Oberts and celebrates the open days of the creation spaces in the spring, as it was done at the beginning and will be on 24, 25, 31 May and 1 June 2025.
