Called by MODA-FAD, these awards aim to win recognition for professionals and businesses that have made a relevant contribution to the world of fashion design and the fashion industry in the past year.
The FAD’s Association for Fostering Fashion is calling the MODA-FAD Awards in a quest to obtain recognition for Spanish professionals and businesses that have made a relevant contribution to the world of fashion design and the fashion industry in the past year, in the categories of garment design, complements design, styling and image and visual communication.
In the 2019 edition, these awards extend the call and are also open to students to recognize the best dissertation or master’s thesis with a clear component in favour of sustainability in fashion. The board of the MODA-FAD Association will also award an honour prize to an outstanding industry figure to recognize a career with significant contributions to the world of fashion.
The presentation of the MODA-FAD Awards took place on Saturday 15 June 2019 as part of Barcelona Design Week, the annual event that celebrates creative excellence, recognizes the work of professionals and businesses and drives the culture of design. In addition, the award-winning projects took part in «The Best Design of the Year» exhibition, a collective show featuring the works shortlisted in the different awards organized by the FAD associations.
